48
Hour Film Project
Beginning
its world tour in Philadelphia, The International
48
Hour Film Project came to our city on March 24, 2006 when 40
teams competed at creating a short film
(7
minutes or less) around a unique concept. They were randomly
assigned a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and (most importantly)
a genre (ranging from superhero-spoof to film noir). With only
48 hours to finish the piece (including post-production) every
second counts! 48 hours after they were completed, audiences
saw what the filmmakers had created.
This
showcase program brings back the very best shorts, chosen by
both the audience and the judges. Come on out and see the 15
'Best' films, and prepare to be amazed at what a little pressure
(and a lot of creativity) can make happen.
For
the fourth year, the exciting 48 Hour Film Project kicks off
its international tour here in Philly. See the "best of"
selection from this year's contest at the Philadelphia
Film Festival on Friday, March 31.
$9
general admission. Available one hour before showtime
at the Box Office.
