On December 6, 2006, alumni and residents gathered for a casual social meeting and lecture by Dr. G. Jan Colijn (1971-75) in connection with the publication of his new book, Ruin’s Wheel, A Father on War, A Son on Genocide (click here for more information about the book). This book is centered around his father’s WWII memoirs of the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands and Jan’s subsequent work in the area of Holocaust and Genocide Studies, which has found international acclaim and several awards.
Originally from the Netherlands, Jan lived at IHouse in 1970’s, while he studied at Temple University. He was an IHouse Trustee for over a decade and presently serves on the IHouse Alumni Council. Jan currently works as a Dean of General Studies & Professor of Political Studies at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.
