Bike
in Film II
The
Bike in Film II brings another year of celebrating the cycle
in the cinema. With
great short films, including animation and documentaries, as
well as full-length features, the festival gives the object
of our work, play and politics center stage.
Films
include Bicycle Ladies, a whimsical animation which
follows Maggie Endicott as she shuns Victorian norms to fulfill
her desires to ride bicycles, and Nebraska Supersonic,
which documents three sub-par French majors as they start a
business that should not succeed on the Great Plains…
a bicycle courier service.
With donations from
local bike shops and other businesses and organizations,
there will be mid-evening raffles with prizes ranging from patch
kits to a
case of brew (no joke!). Neighborhood Bike Works will be providing
FREE
valet bike parking and there will be an after-fest party at
the White Dog
Café.
Please
check back as more films, sponsors and events will be added
and visit
www.thebikeinfilm.com.
$8.00 general admission,
$15.00 for both nights; available one hour before showtime at
the Box Office.
