As
daylight hours become longer and late winter temperatures
grow milder, it is hard not to sense a feeling of rejuvenation.
The IHP staff cannot help but to also be invigorated by the
anticipation of a new season, and are stirring with excitement
by the spring calendar. We are delighted to share with you
our inspiring arts programs and special events for the next
season.
Spring
2010 at International House Philadelphia is filled with innovative
programs that entice our audiences to rediscover the IHP tradition
of exhibiting the world’s pioneering artists. Our curators
have collaborated internationally to showcase recognized emerging
and established creative talents. Driven by the mission of
IHP, this season’s art and performance schedule is sure to
deliver an authentic international encounter to our local
audiences.
In
light of the worldwide economic challenges, the Residential
experience at IHP is all the more relevant to the exchange
of ideas. Our Alumni continuously tell us that by providing
a flourishing environment for profound dialogue, their time
at IHP impacted them as leaders in their communities. These
early friendly exchanges are the foundation for creative problem
solving, are intensely relevant and are needed to strengthen
global bonds.
This
June, International House Philadelphia hosts International
Houses’ Worldwide Leadership Conference and Alumni Reunion.
Both events gather our most prominent leaders, alumni and
supporters, to once more foster international awareness, dialog
and partnerships in business, culture, arts and society. We
also extend an invitation to those new to International House
Philadelphia to join our community through the IHP Membership
Program.
International
House Philadelphia has a variety of Membership levels available
- from individual and student, all the way through major corporate
partnerships. We encourage all to take advantage and enjoy
what Membership at IHP offers. All Members are a part of the
greater International House Philadelphia community, and help
make it possible for us to deliver diverse arts, educational
and humanities programs.
The
Spring 2010 season at IHP not only promises to be a time of
artistic reawakening, but also a chance to reestablish close
ties. We express the deepest gratitude to our Members, alumni,
collaborators, residents and patrons for their loyal support.
Have
a rejuvenating spring, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
Warmest
regards,
Tanya
