Chow Yun-Fat stars as "hard boiled" detective Tequila in this classic John Woo bullet-fest. Having lost his partner during a tea house raid, Tequila teams up with Tony, a cop working undercover to help break up a murderous drug smuggling ring. Chow Yun-Fat defined cool in this film and his image remains as potent and iconic as that of Clint Eastwood.

Hong Kong , 1967. On his way to a wedding, a young man is attacked by a local triad member. The gang member is later killed by three friends. Forced to flee Hong Kong in order to escape from the gang and the police they soon find themselves running black market supplies in Saigon during the Vietnam War. Director John Woo doesn't flinch from displaying the graphic horror of war and its consequences on not only these three friends but everyone caught in its grasp.
