Hong
Kong , 1967. On his way
to a wedding, a young man is attacked by a local triad member.
The gang member is later killed by three friends. Forced to
flee Hong Kong
in order to escape from the gang and the police they soon find
themselves running black market supplies in Saigon
during the Vietnam War.
Director John Woo doesn't flinch from displaying the graphic
horror of war and its consequences on not only these three
friends but everyone caught in its grasp.
