This
annual film event takes place in cities around the world. Home
Movie Day is a rare opportunity for Philadelphians to take their
unseen and forgotten movies out of boxes and see them on the
big screen. Now in its seventh year, Home Movie Day provides
a unique service to the community: it illuminates the lives
of friends and neighbors through their own films and family
histories. The charm of this singular event is in watching fashions
change, families grow, and history unfold. Everyone is encouraged
to bring their 8mm, super 8mm and/or 16mm home movies.
