“Seeing and Being” a Leader - TAI Inc., The Power of Values Based Leadership

This session is about “ seeing” and “vision”; the leader has to understand, create and articulate a “preferred future” for the organization, thereby enabling a clear direction and practical execution on the part of followers. Being is – “who the leader is”… demonstrating the personal character that others want to follow and that motivates followers to exceptional performance.

 

7 Values of Being a Leader - Inc., The Power of Values Based Leadership

[Asia East Room]

 

This session will talk about the values of leadership, and how they matter in an organization. There are 7 Central Leadership values that are necessary to create willing followers.

Become a community building advocate on your campus. Hear about programming ideas, creating community in halls and on floors, and gather information which you can use in planning campus wide and residential activities.

Adjusting To A New Home - Sena Andah, Saint Joseph’s University, and Glenn Martin, Director of Resident Services International House Philadelphia

Participate in a discussion on culture shock and adjustment to a new country. Learn strategies for managing the transition and overcoming challenges. Session topics will include adjusting to life in the United States as an International Student as well as adjusting to a new country as a study abroad, work abroad or co-op abroad participant.

Discover new ways to promote international awareness on your campus. Learn strategies for drumming up support, recruiting committed volunteers and planning budget-friendly events open to the campus community.

Personal Management – Developing Your Leadership Plan - Sena Andah, Saint Joseph’s University

Developing your leadership plan analyze your current personal and professional development plans. Discuss common challenges, obstacles and opportunities. Learn how to use the 10 principles of E.X.C.E.L.L.E.N.C.E. to create a personal success plan.
