German Christmas Village and Ice Skating at City Hall
Tour the Christmas Village and experience the Light Show and Tree at City Hall.
Christmas Village in Philadelphia is an outside Holiday market event in Center City Philadelphia, which is modeled after the traditional Christmas Markets in Germany. Vendors in more than 80 wooden booths will sell traditional European food, sweets and drinks. They will also offer a great shopping experience with international holiday gifts, ornaments, jewelry and high-quality arts and crafts. The unique atmosphere with thousands of lights and the delicious smell of waffles, gingerbread, bratwurst and mulled wine will bring you and your family into the perfect Christmas mood.
The Macy's Light Show, also known as “Christmas Pageant of Lights,” features narration by Julie Andrews and the spectacular sounds of the famous Wanamaker Organ. The Light Show takes you on a journey through popular Christmas stories including The Nutcracker, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph and his friends, and a magical Christmas Tree along with familiar holiday songs and tunes.
During the light show, one will experience more than 100,000 bright, energy-efficient LED lights which combine to create fantastic holiday images.
Meet in front of Resident Life office to travel together to the Christmas Village Holiday Tour. Please bring monies for Septa Travel to City Hall and additional spending.
